A native of Indiana, Corrine loves the varied landscape from the Indiana Dunes on lake Michigan to the rolling hills of southern Indiana but also enjoys painting in New Mexico and Maine. Corrine states she has known she was an artist since she was a child, persuading her mother to allow her give up violin lessons so she could take a painting class. Her love of painting has been a lifelong passion. Corrine loves to be outside so she was drawn to Plein air painting. She enjoys the spontaneity and the challenge of capturing mood and light when painting on location. She also enjoys the discipline of painting and drawing the figure.
Corrine has studied with Easter Nusbaum, Scott Sullivan, Ron Mack, Troy Kilgore and Mark vanderVinne. She has been honored to be included in and has received numerous awards in state and regional exhibits including Indiana Heritage Arts, the Hoosier Salon Annual Exhibit, The Richmond Art Museum annual exhibit, Indiana Artists (formerly the Indiana Artist Club)and the Chicago Pastel Painters. three of Corrine's paintings were included in the book, Painting Indiana III, Heritage of Place, one of which was purchased by the Minnetrista Art and Natural History Museum's permanent collection.
Corrine is a board member of the Indiana Plein Air Painters Association IPAPA, the Indiana Artists and The Southside Art League. She is the gallery coordinator of the Off Broadway Gallery of the Southside Art League.
