Collection: Libby Whipple

Elizabeth Givan Whipple, "Libby," (b. 1962) is a painter who grew up in Plainfield, Indiana. She trained as an attorney and practiced briefly before having four children with her husband, Dan. Libby started painting in law school as a break from reading, but her love of painting outlasted her interest in law.

Favorite subject matters include family members, neighbors, scenes on her parents' farm, scenes from her hometown, and scenes from travels. She is happy to have paintings in the Indiana State Museum and in the Indiana Heritage Arts Collection.
