Ron Mack, a lifelong Indianapolis resident, is an artist and professional art instructor. He was well known for his detailed still life paintings before he became interested in all the beauty of the outdoors and capturing it on the canvas. He is now recognized for his familiar and nostalgic landscapes that seem to be a frozen moment in history. He works exclusively in oils to produce the brilliant and effective use of color and light in the traditional as well as impressionistic landscapes both en plein air and in his studio.
Ron conducts workshops and teaches art classes. He gets much satisfaction from sharing his art ability and watching his students develop. Many joyful years painting and a true love for his craft serve as a solid foundation for his success.
Ron is represented in many private and corporate collections and has had many acquisition awards for permanent collections. He has been awarded many distinctions as an artist, but he feels his greatest accomplishment to date is being part of the 3 Painting Indiana book projects: Painting Indiana I, Painting Indiana II - Changing Face of Agriculture, and Painting Indiana III – Heritage of Place.
