Sandi knew that she wanted to be an artist after successfully drawing an oversized Charles Shultz Snoopy character for the bulletin board of her sixth grade class. She’s been creating ever since.
She has been an artist in a variety of creative fields. Degreed in Advertising Design, she began her career as a Graphic Designer and Art Director. During this time, an art director credit on a feature film intrigued her and prompted her to pursue and accomplish the goal of art directing a motion picture.
While working in all areas of film production art departments over many years, she accrued a variety of skills that attracted several clients outside of the film world. As a result, she moved back home to Indianapolis and started a small design business designing sets and stages for corporate events and local productions. She also painted and distressed finishes of cabinetry, furniture, and musical instruments as well as painted murals.
This introduced her to employers for whom she was a production and wardrobe coordinator for touring bands. The sporadic schedules of these bands provided occasional downtime to pursue her latest passion of oil painting. Since March 2020, Sandi has transitioned into painting full time!
